The Cottage sits on its own pond in the middle of the park; the Stable is tucked under the trees to the north. Our house is by the road.

The Cottage

About 60 m² over two floors, built above a pond, with its own deck over the water. Sleeps up to 4: ideal for a family.

The Stable: an oak-framed building with a thatched roof and its own terrace

The Stable New 2025

Our old donkey stable, rebuilt in 2025 by a master oak craftsman on a solid oak frame, under a new thatched roof. Sleeps 2.

Good to know

Before you come

Self-catering. We don't serve breakfast. Bring supplies: the village shop in Schoonrewoerd is 3 km away and closes early (no Sundays); supermarkets in Leerdam and Culemborg are 5–6 km.
Self check-in. Arrive any time after 16:00; we'll send you the details before your stay. We usually welcome guests in person if we're home.
Early or late? Ask about early check-in or late check-out and we'll do our best, depending on other bookings.
Water everywhere. The park has ponds and channels, and the lake across the road is 30 m deep with no lifeguard. Please keep an eye on children.
Steep stairs in the Cottage, and wooden decks can be slippery when wet.
No smoking or vaping inside either building.
Fires and barbecues are welcome: just check with us first, and never leave one unattended.
Our animals. We keep chickens (and sometimes sheep). Children love to feed them; ask us and we'll help.
Security cameras cover the outside of the property; there are none inside the Cottage or the Stable.
